For the past four months or so, I’ve been collaborating with my friend and colleague José Luis Poblete, and we have launched our podcast, ELT in Chile!
José Luis and I first met at a workshop about the revisions to the Common European Framework in June of 2018, and we really enjoyed talking and sharing our ideas and experiences with each other. He approached me with the idea of starting the podcast, and I was excited from the moment he suggested it.
Our mission is to share our knowledge and experience and give teachers practical ideas that they can use in their classes. We want to provide free resources as much as possible to help teachers improve their practice and give their students the best learning experience possible.
The main topic of the first episode is about the teaching landscape in Chile. We talk about the pros and cons and our experiences teaching in school, universities, institutes, and private classes. There are also a few other segments about various resources and our positive and negative experiences teaching.
You can listen in a few different ways:
1. Directly on the website www.eltinchile.com
2. Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/0R4GSy1q25PM6mttQ3c5Qy
3. Radio Public https://radiopublic.com/english-language-teaching-in-chil-60Nzqd
We’re both super excited about taking on this new adventure and sharing all of our experiences and knowledge, and we hope that it’s of help to anyone in the ELT community. A new episode will be released on the 1st and the 15th of every month.
I hope you enjoy listening!
